Zach Zecha is a human, fairly imperfect. He makes art, and hopes to be more than the sum of his parts.

In my work it is important to note that a large portion of the materials are up-cycled materials. In order to feed myself I currently work in home remodeling/house painting. From this the use of wood, drywall, and paint influence the structure that my work takes. The combination of industrial materials and incorporation of found imagery allows me to create vibrant low and high relief collages. The  physical presence of my work speaks to the subject matter that influences the imagery and themes. Whether it is influenced by my past growing up in the southwest or surrounding a thought about how we as people function in the world. My work activates the space in a playful manner with the combination of seemingly disparate elements.
